A little bit about me

Costina Stan ( b. 1989, Bucharest, Romania), currently based in Antwerp, Belgium.

I am a visual artist working primarily with black and white imagery and collage.

My practice focuses on themes of memory, the body, and emotion, often engaging with the idea of the archive and what remains as traces of lived experience. Through photography and collage, I explore how images can both document and reimagine personal and collective histories.

August 2025 Finalist Dodho Monochromatic Awards

June 2023: Participated in online group exhibition ‘Quiet Landscape’, Photo Place Gallery, Vermont USA.
